CYT North Idaho offers classes three times a year in a variety of theater arts, including drama, voice, dance, and specialty classes.

Each session includes the opportunity to audition for a fully staged musical production that is performed for the community.

Patrice Barnes

Patrice Barnes comes to us from Athol, Idaho, with an extensive list of theater involvement. Patrice was with the Dunes Summer and Winter Theater for 2 years, as well as owning the Living History Company, where she wrote and performed 1st person Historical Presentations for 12 years. Mrs. Barnes was also involved with Otter Productions where she was actress, singer, writer director of Interactive Improvisation Musicals for 7 years. She sang with the National Christian Choir for 7 years, and performed with the Christy Players for two years.
Patrice has taught for CYT North Idaho over the past year, and was assistant director for CYT North Idaho's Fall 2008 production of "Narnia".

Terri Grubbs

Terri Grubbs has studies advanced vocal techniques for six years in the pop and classical voice genre, in private and classroom study. She performed professionally from 1996-2003 in an a cappella trio and 2003-2004 in a blues band as lead vocalist. Mrs. Grubbs has taught private voice study with children and adults for 4 years.

Cathy McKinney

Cathy McKinney has taught many classes, from Drama to Melodrama, at our CYT sister affiliate in Spokane. Mrs. McKinney was Director of CYT Spokane's "Frog & Toad" which performed at the Bing Theater in Spokane. She as been an actor, singer, and dancer with the Old Orchard Theater, and has tried her hand at Stage Managing for Lake City Playhouse's "Raggedy Ann and Andy". Mrs. McKinney holds her BA in Elementary Ed, MLS-Master's in Library Science
